Welcome to Tirohana Estate in Martinborough.
Privately owned and managed by the Raymond Thompson Family Trust, Tirohana Estate is a boutique vineyard located on the alluvial terraces of the dry riverbed in Martinborough on the North Island of New Zealand.
The Estate produces award-winning premium wines exclusively from homeblock Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes, Tirohana Estate is a founding member of the Unique and Boutique collective.
All the wines are handmade following traditional methods in both the vineyard and the winery by a dedicated team of staff. No expense is spared in the pursuit of excellence.
Tirohana Estate is a much-photographed property and comprises an onsite Cellar Door and Tasting Room, open daily.
Tirohana Cellars is a highly anticipated addition to the Estate, housing a function room and dining-area with a veranda overlooking the vines to the hills beyond. These facilities will be available from January 2008.
Accommodation is available on the vineyard in the 5-star Qualmark rated Tirohana Colonial House. A stunning two-storey building, the house stands at the head of the vineyard and views are spectacular. Self-contained with its own kitchen, Tirohana Colonial House can also be let as a serviced property.
