Congratulations to our friend of Tirohana and client, Rebecca Hannaford, of Wellington, who has won the special Tirohana competition to attend "An Evening with Richie McCaw and Dan Carter"! This important gala dinner night for the worthy cause of Asthma New Zealand also includes a VIP pre-dinner cocktail function with Rugby legends Frank Bunce, Grant Fox, AJ Wheton, Robin Brooke, Gareth Davies or Tana Umaga!
Tirohana Estate is honoured to be involved in this memorable evening - and for those attending, you will be able to bid in a charity fund-raising auction to win a prize of a fabulous meal with Murray Mexted at the unique dining experience of Tirohana Cellars restaurant amidst the vines of Tirohana Estate, accommodation for two nights at Tirohana Estate's 5 star Qualmark rated self-contained property, and a case of Tirohana's handmade Pinot Noir (winner of the Championship Pinot Noir of NZ and 5 star rated by Cuisine magazine). So have a great evening, Rebecca, at the gala event!
TIROHANA ESTATE TO WELCOME PASSENGERS FROM THE LUXURIOUS P&O AND CARNIVAL CRUISE LINERS VISITING NEW ZEALAND
Tirohana is proud to have been chosen to feature in the exclusive tour programme of Carnival and P&O Cruises visiting New Zealand throughout the 2008-09 season.
Passengers from these superliners will enjoy a drive through the beautiful and picturesque Wairarapa region prior to arriving at Tirohana Estate, where they will be met by the Tirohana team for a series of private tastings in the Cellar Door. But this isn't just a tour for the wine connoisseur (though for the wine enthusiast they will have plenty of question and answer opportunities throughout their wine talk and tour) as passengers will enjoy a gourmet lunch in the elegant TIrohana Cellars restaurant.
There will be plenty of time for enjoying the views from Tirohana Terraces over a glass of wine (or coffee), a stroll through the picturesque vines, a taste of the history of the quaint Martinborough market town and Wairarapa region overall. Oh and no one should forget their camera as there will be many photo opportunities and shopping for souvenirs and other interesting artifacts as well as local crafts (as well as wine of course) in the quaint Cellar Door gift shop. All at Tirohana are sure that passengers will enjoy not only a memorable visit but a special one as well.
Tirohana Estate is proud that Saranne James, Operations Manager and Director of Cuisine had the honour of being intronised with a Maitre de Rotisseur chaine, presented by the iconic and legendary Chaine de Rotisseurs, an historic society established many centuries ago in Paris to celebrate, embrace and appreciate the art of cuisine.
