TIROHANA CELLARS

Tirohana Cellars is currently embarking upon a preview season, prior to commencing with its themes celebrating global cuisine.

In November 2008 for example, Tirohana Cellars will feature 'A Taste Of Italy' presented alongside a celebrity chef, and throughout the year there will be a range of other guest chefs working alongside Tirohana to structure an evocative menu and wine and food matching dishes through a variety of cultural influences.

In addition though, Tirohana Cellars will also make available a conventional lunch and dinner menu for those less adventurous in their food preferences – and there will also be a mouth watering array of gourmet snacks available.

So whether or not you prefer English High Tea, a traditional pizza, lamb shanks or would like to sample a taste of traditional Indian cuisine, then there is always something different to experience at Tirohana Cellars.

In the winter, the ambience is punctuated by a huge roaring fire along with a pot bellied stove in the adjacent tasting area (from which our clients might even wish a simple bowl of hot soup and fresh bread while exploring the joys of the Wairarapa in a cold winter’s day).

In the spring, summer and autumn months, Tirohana will extend its doors to overlap onto the beautifully landscaped Tirohana terraces, overlooking the photogenic vines and clients might wish to choose their own fresh vegetables and spices from the gardens (don’t worry if this will take you away from enjoying the peace and tranquillity and premium wines because our chefs will interweave the spices and herbs from our gardens in abundance).
