We are very proud and pleased to offer our Colonial House as a Vinestay again. So if you can’t bear to leave, then why not consider staying? Enjoy a romantic and intimate getaway with your significant other, or a relaxing break away with a group of your friends or your family and loved ones.
As well as short-term accommodation for a Wairarapa weekend away or a mid-week break, the house is also a perfect venue for a wedding, event or special occasion (and offers an ideal private venue for the bridal party, friends or relatives).
The property is also suitable for corporate groups looking for a place to host a meeting or function, or to stay in Martinborough (with the ability to also host a corporate retreat in the house, and in house dining options available).
Tirohana Estate’s ‘Grand Marquee’ is not far from the house and can host larger groups of up to 120 for a tailored wedding or function (and with the house, up to 16 guests can stay on site with easy access to the Grand Marquee for any events or occasions).
And, with the adjoining Tirohana Estate restaurant on site in close proximity to the house, there are dining options for any occasion on site including lunch, all-day dining and dinner in Tirohana’s own boutique restaurant.
Private dining can also be arranged in the house so you can sit back and enjoy a meal prepared by our chefs and restaurant team.
Feel like a glass of wine or a tasting of the latest release? The cellar door is conveniently nearby so guests who stay in the vineyard house can pop in to enjoy a tasting experience with the friendly Tirohana team (each guest who stays in the property will receive a wine talk and tasting in our Cellar Door, at no extra charge), or to sit back with a glass of wine on the verandah deck and take in the photogenic outlook.
The Colonial House will also be available at Toast Martinborough so there is no better way than enjoying the iconic wine and food festival than staying right on site throughout the event.
Throughout the seasons, Tirohana Estate is also a venue for many special events and occasions including our traditional Mid-Winter Christmases in June and July and our Grand New Years Eve Gala dinner, so the house offers a convenient place to enjoy the event and stay on site.
